Thatcher Associates are assisting a Devon based construction company with the appointment of an Operations Manager who can plan, coordinate and manage large-scale projects from concept to completion.
The Company
Working in the Infrastructure / Utilities sectors, this multimillion pound turnover construction company oversees the installation of infrastructure for forthcoming renewable energy developments. Typical projects encompass access roads, small bridges and culverts, foundations, RC structures and ductwork.
The Role
Leading the construction arm of this large organisation, responsibilities will include:
Overseeing multiple concurrent projects from inception, through bid management and delivery, to completion on site.
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.
Management and oversight of estimating, planning, project management, quantity surveying and HSQE functions.
Overseeing a team of Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and HSQE Managers.
Identifying areas for improved efficiencies and driving positive change through the division.
Managing and supporting employee growth and development.
Reviewing internal project reports and make positive interventions.
Reporting to the directors of the business, analysing cost, progress and forthcoming risks and opportunities.
